One of the best baits I’ve used for Bass is Called a Tempt’n Lizzard. It can be purchased from my website http://www.huntn.biz/7869. I use it on a drop shot rig. I used it just the other day and caught over a dozen Large Mouth with it.

I’ve caught most of my biggest bass on weightless jerk worms, like slugo’s. They sink real slow and you have to work them slow but your patience will pay off.

Mepps red-tail spinner, usually #2. I’ve used them for many years and have rarely been disappointed.

It doesn’t get more exciting than casting a Chug-Bug at sunrise.
Any other time, my first choice is a split-shot rigged pumpkinseed or watermelon Zoom Finesse worm.

I have a few favorites depending on conditions
My favorite soft plastic is the culprit 7.5 inch worm in Fire and Ice color . I like to Texas rig it .I will attach a pic of the worm and color http://i19.tinypic.com/52wncls.jpg...
l my favorite lure is a Heddon Pop N Image topwater lure in a shad color http://tinypic.com/62f3981.jpg I fish it anytime of day anywhere open water and near structure .but morning and evening are best The popping sound will bring bass up from 10 plus feet deep.
As far as crankbaits I like the Manns Baby minus I fish it along weed beds and in shallow water I parallel cast the bank with it . I fish it mid day when bass are hiding in weeds and stuff. I like this color its kind of a green and goldhttp://i17.tinypic.com/52bb04i.jpg…
I also like the rattl trap for fishing deeper water over weed beds and near structure I use this shad color and I like the 1/2 oz size http://i10.tinypic.com/63rpp35.jpg... I fish it midday as well
Also the number 1 big bass bait is a live golden shiner the bigger the better I fish them under a bobber

It really depends on the area in which you are fishing and some years I’ve found certain baits work better than others. I have had great luck with spinners in lots of different situations. I also like finding a blue gill bed in shallow water and dragging a floating minnow bait over top it. Some of the biggest bass I have caught have been in this manner.

I like a flashy spinner bait early in the morning… and or if that’s not working I go to a top water white and always fish the points and weeded/logged banks, making sure the sun is in front of me as to not cast a long shadow toward the bank, and fish from the front of the boat. My husband loves a black and green water dog, or some sort of frog thing, i can’t remember what it is called, but it comes in a jar, and you jig it.
So, go out there and catch the big one!
